I posted this at Facebook earlier today. But it’s so right up our alley, I decided to feature it here as well. I went through the list, answered honestly, and came up with a grand total of 94 — out of 230. Of course, many of the places are NOT fast food. Like Cracker Barrel and Red Lobster. Wot up with that?
In any case, let’s compare. Just click on the graphic above to get started. The restaurants get more and more obscure and regional as the list continues. By the end, I started to believe they were just making them up.
What’s your final number? Someone at Facebook said they’d been to 119. Sweet sainted mother of Babs Johnson! We’ll need your full report in the comments section below.
And I’ll see you guys next time.
Have a great day!
Now playing in the bunker
Treat yourself to something cool at Amazon!
The list is also incomplete. What about Penn Station, Steak Escape, and places like that. Maybe they are regional but they are much more wide spread than WaWa and Skyline. I haven’t seen a Skyline outside of Cincinnati.
There are some Skylines here in Cleveland.
Couple in Dayton, one in Lima and a bunch in Columbus and I think there are a few in Florida for the snow birds.
55.
Good Afternoon Surf Reporters…
58 out of the 230. I must lead a sheltered life.
A paltry 40 … I gotta get out more.
77. I feel like an amateur.
You are not alone. I’m at 77 as well.
59
69 bitch!
28
I’ve eaten a shitload of fast food. I prefer to patronize locally owned spots; we have a bunch of them in the Great Pacific Northwest.

46. I guess I’m not very adventurous.
I am ashamed…95. (Does criss-cross traveling across the country over many years make for a “good” excuse for this number?) I didn’t think so.
17, but most of them were many, many years ago.
103….. but I travel a lot and eat poorly! Had this been a list of beers consumed, I would have scored much higher!
83, not too shabby.
48. I swear, I haven’t heard of about 40 of them. And I have eaten Marie Callander’s frozen entrees. I had no idea there was a chain of restaurants.
Shit, now I want chicken pot pie. And cobbler!
I wish I had some of those burger chains around here. I need to try an In & Out burger, simply for the Lebowski reference.
Don’t fuck with the Jesus.
.
“Those are good burgers, Walter”
“Shut the fuck up, Donny”
31, most not in a long time.
97. Years in the military avoiding the chow hall raised my total.
125. Going to the gym now….
For what it’s worth, I’ve lived in three countries and four states plus I used to travel a lot for work so I kind of have an excuse for having such a broad restaurant background.
61 apparently I lead a fairly healthy life HA!
61. El Pollo Loco?? That’s not a real place. It’s from Breaking Bad.
Wait that’s Pollo Hermanos LMAO, my bad.
is real! there’s a shitload of them here in vegas
Is real AND the one by me is next door to a laundromat.
69 for me 🙂
That’s got me licked!
I see what you did there.
.
79. I think I feel sick.
55–but some of those I don’t really consider fast food–chains yes but not fast food
I cannot believe my total was 111. In my defense I am old so I have been eating for quite some time, I have travelled a lot (many of these places are in airports), and lived in Canada and United States so plenty of exposure.
83 of them for me. Some more than once!
104, and I am ashamed…
95, and there aint nothing wrong with that
100 – Woo Hoo
90. But in my defense I’ve lived on the West Coast the South and the North East. I even managed to hit a Hungry Jacks when I was in Australia.
65, although the size of my ass would imply a higher number.
I can’t remember; was Howard Johnson’s on that list? Mmmm.. clam strips.
124…..Damn! I’m absurdly proud that I have had A&W in the US and in Guantanamo Bay but not in Canada:-)
94. Solidly in heart disease range!
Fatass.
a grand total of 86
57. Including Wawa was a low blow.
91-10 years on the road offers more “opportunities”
Hard to see, “Dined”, and most of the listings in the same sentence. And what…NO STUCKEY’S !!?? How could Stuckey’s not make the cut?
72 (if you include Stuckey’s)
I got 84.
What’s with all the B grade taco places?
122… Coincidentally, I could lose 122 lbs and still be overweight.
98. Yeah, I’ve been around. I should be able to break triple digits by the end of the year. I’ve seen Coming Soon! signs for a couple of those places in my town.
my mouth has graced 102 of these establishments… I get around a lot… so I’ve managed to try a lot of the regional places.
88, like some kind of disgrace.
115. May be higher or lower as many were after a long evening of adult beverages.
55 for me
71
You have dined at 105 out of 230 fast food joints on this list!
89. Eighty-friggin’-nine! I don’t know why I’m so surprised.
Dear god, 72! And I haven’t eaten meat since 1995. I guess I must’ve eaten way more fast food than I ever thought possible in the 80s and early 90s. Jeez.
Yeah, a lot of these places I’ve never heard of. Is “Perkins Restaurant & Bakery” the same thing as “Perkins Cake and Steak?” Anyway, 56. Weak.
Around here, the locally-owned places just seem to be better than the chains. No value judgment, just a fact (in my head). I prefer better food over mediocre food. It’s often cheaper as well.
.
1) Think global, eat local.
2) The problem is that Carl Perkins can’t remember the exact name, so it keeps changing slightly every time he opens a new one. No shirt, no blue suede shoes, no service.

51. Not bad for a Canadian. I was surprised to see some Canadian joints on the list. Is A&W significantly different in the USA?
Strippers and Root Beer? Yeah, about the same…jtb
Posted it on Facebook too, but I am at 108. Funny thing is, I just turned twenty one years old the other day, yet I’ve been to more than most people. I’ve done extensive traveling over the years, and to be honest, I dined at most of these places perhaps once. Maybe a handful are places that I actually go to on a regular basis. Many places I’ve gone are regional chains that I visited during various road trips.
74. And some more than once! That can’t be good.
