So I read thru the comments and I was SURE I’d be the first to cite Rockford Files, but Spoonman beat me to it a few posts up. Bar none the best TV theme song ever recorded. Shit, I had the “long version” on 45.

Don’t go to Sam’s or any place in the wal mart family. I took my car in there to get an oil change, and they wrecked my car in to a pillar, knocking out the headlight and the turning signal. and get this, THEY REFUSED TO PAY!!!! They said my brakes were out. Admittedly the brakes were a little soft, but I drove on them for several months before I got new ones and it was fine. Wal Mart is the evil empire.

If you watch House the music at the beginning is good, but I would not call it a “Song”

I think 40 or 50 years ago TV shows had budgets to write, arrange and produce clever songs, now they simply take some pop or rock song everyone knows and license it.
