@ Lee Harvey Ramone – OK, I will re-listen to Beggar’s Banquet. It was albums like Get Yer YaYa’s Out the put me off Stones albums.

And, while we are here, Keith Richard’s solo album “Talk is Cheap” is brilliant.

Also, I forgot about Some Girls. The entire album is excellent. The version that I bought had a slide out sleeve so that the faces changed on the cover. Keith was at his drugged out prime – witness “Before They Make Me Run”.

@ Brynhildr – His loss, my gain, maybe! Morrison, both Van and Jim are vocal virtuosos. Brown-eye girl and Moondance being on the list of my favorites. It’s tragic that some muscians have to fall into that alcohol/drug enduced pit to be considered great. Some crawl out and other I wish didn’t. I was never big on Bruce, a good showman but I just couldn’t “feel” his music. All that sweating and heavy breathing I reserve for another function. BTW, I like going against the grain to, I hate conformity.

Shiny Rod — I’m onto you now.

I used to date man that said he would know he was with the right woman if she said certain magic words. Never knew what those were, but I suspected they had something to do with either Bruce Springsteen or Van Morrison. Apparently, I never came up with those pre-determined words that would ensure we would remain together forever (sigh) because he dumped me after 2 years. Though I do like Van Morrison, I grew increasingly disenchanted with Springsteen after that. (Not that I was ever that big of a fan — merely tolerated the heavy rotation. Another overrated musician. I think I develop my opinions just to go against the grain. Dunno.)
